Upcoming Pickleball Events/Mark Your Calendar
Club Members,
EVPC has several events and socials coming up in the next month. Besides the 13 Learn to Play Clinics already scheduled this summer (see our website for the schedule and registration), the below events are ready to go and registration is OPEN. We are working on some exciting new events that will be announced in the very near future. So watch your inbox for details!
EVPC Memorial Day Pickleball Clinics and Social
When: May 27th, 9:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Where: Eugene YMCA Tennis Center 2055 Patterson St.
We will be utilizing 10 indoor courts with 3 separate sessions for beginner, intermediate and advanced players at different times of the day. This is a great opportunity for all ages and levels to have lots of pickleball fun and connection. The cost is $10 per person for EVPC members and students and $15 for non-members. Students must enter “student” to get their $5.00 discount. Pre-registration is required on our website. Registration is limited to 40 participants per session.
9:00 to 11:00: The fun starts with a Beginners- Learn-to-Play Clinic and Advanced Beginner session that will focus on the basic fundamentals of pickleball, strategies of shot selection, body positioning and court positioning. Playing games and meeting other people will also be a big part of this session.
11:15 to 1:15 Intermediate players will be led by instructors through a series of skill building drills. This will be followed by an open play rotation with instructors coaching from the sidelines.
1:30 to 3:30 Advanced players will begin with 30 minutes of advanced drills followed by at least 90 minutes of organized group play!!
We will need help with this event, please contact Roger Schaljo, roger.schaljo@gmail.com, if you’d like to volunteer for set-up, clean-up, or for tasks during the event.

When: June 2nd, 3:00 PM - 4:30 PM
Where: Meadow Park Shelter. Springfield

New Member Social
When: June 9th, 12:30 PM – 2:30 PM
Where: Meadow Park
For those members who joined our Club during the last Year, we would like to invite you to a social, meet and greet.
Our goals are to:
1. Provide a fun event!!
2. Provide an opportunity for new members to meet other new members and potentially form their own pickleball play groups.
3. Coordinate skill group play.
4. Provide some tips for improving play.
5. Provide an opportunity to find out more about the Emerald Valley Pickleball Club and the Emerald Valley Pickleball Foundation.
6. Get updates on the Lane County Regional Pickleball Complex.
This is a free event, but please make sure to register. This will help us to know how many to plan for as well as a way to communicate with you quickly. (like postponement due to rain)
