Vice President – Chris Achtien
Chris has worked in healthcare space for 40 years. Most recently serving as the interim Senior Director for Oncology at Good Samaritan Hospital in Corvallis. He also has been the Executive Director for The US Oncology Network for over 20 years. In this role, he was responsible for developing, planning, directing and controlling broad activities needed to ensure the long-term success of community-based cancer practices in Oregon, Pennsylvania, Indiana and Ohio. In addition to working in the private sector, Chris has over 12 years of experience working with non-profit organizations. He has been on the Board of Directors for three different organizations where he focused on designing the organizational structure and generating funds to support the mission of these organizations. Chris is an avid Pickleball player and hopes to increase the quality and quantity of Pickleball facilities in the Eugene/Springfield area.
