Important EVPC Membership Changes

EVPC Members,

Over the next few years our Club will see several major changes in how we function and promote pickleball. The new Regional Pickleball Complex will truly be a game changer for our Club and our community. Our Club will be taking on the duties of the overall scheduling, the daily upkeep of the facility, as well as the longer-term repairs and resurfacing. This will create additional expenses that we need to start preparing for now. For you, this will mean opportunities to participate in more prearranged play like leagues, ladders, clinics, socials, skill level round robins and tournaments. It will also provide more space for the beloved drop-in play. And imagine, all of this will take place on courts that will be in great condition!!! No more excuses though for balls hitting dead spots, cracks, or the need for BALL ON calls.

With these changes on the horizon, the EVPC Board of Directors is implementing changes to our membership dues structure. The purpose of this is to streamline our membership tracking, increase the ease of communication to all members (every member will now have their own profile), and increase our revenue in order to adequately meet future needs. (Please keep in mind our new annual fees will be still less than half of other pickleball clubs in Oregon such as Bend and LaPine.)

  1. We have removed the 3-year membership and the lifetime membership.

  2. We have removed all levels of the couples membership.

  3. We now only have annual memberships for Singles, Families, and Students.

  4. Price changes for yearly membership levels:

Single: increase from $30 to $40

Families: increase from $50 to $90

Student: stays the same at $15

We will still be honoring the members who are currently on a 3-year membership and lifetime membership. What this means is for the 3-year membership, when it’s time to renew (even if you have automatic renewal setup), you will need to change your membership to one of the three levels mentioned above. For lifetime memberships, we will be honoring those and you will stay at that level.

Our social committee is currently planning our summer schedule that will offer more socials, mixers, and events for our EVPC members. Please contact us if you would like to assist with these events.

We appreciate your support of our EVPC!! Thank you for being a member.
